The Chaplaincy Department honors every journey of faith to assist patients, caregivers and families with their unique spiritual needs. Rather than promote any specific beliefs, the chaplains listen respectfully to nurture people’s spirits during this time of physical healing. Chaplains offer patients, caregivers and families the ability to have conversations and prayers before surgery and offer bedside visits during a hospital stay, support for families during surgery, confidential listening, consultation for religious or ethical questions, rituals and sacraments when requested, and care for one’s spirit during physical healing.
Patient meals are provided three times a day by Food & Nutrition Services. At Cohen’s, we provide breakfast, lunch and dinner with an assortment of freshly prepared, child-friendly foods. Your child may choose the food items he or she would like to eat, unless your child is placed on a special diet. The pantries on each inpatient floor are stocked with a variety of infant/baby foods and formulas as well as milk, juice and other snacks.
Meals and snacks can also be purchased in the New Horizon’s Café and Au Bon Pain. Please see the Cafeteria (New Horizons Café) section above for information about these locations. Kosher meals are available upon request.
